Gorgeous but short-lived !
Romans 11 : 34 : « For who has known the Mind of YHVH ? And who is His counselor ? »
There are among the creatures, fauna (including aquatic) and flora that live for many years, but there are also those that live for a short period and even ephemeral. And among them there are those that are clothed so marvellously. Imaging the skin of the spotted deer, or the plumage of the peacock, or the multicolored sea fish ! The creatures of The Creator of the universe are just impressively wonderful. Beyond human thoughts and comprehension !
Let us admire together these ephemeral mashrooms ! Are not they amazingly and delicately clothed ? « For who has known the Mind of YHVH ? ». And let us recall these Words of Yehoshua HaMashiach Who once declared that « Yet I tell you that not even Shelomoh in all his glory was clothed like one of these ! ».
But their beauty is passing quickly, and they live for a limited time only. And so is our sojourning life among them, and they delight our eyes !
King Shelomoh wrote about another beauty
Let us recall and especially learn from Proverbs 31 : 30. He said : « Charm is deceptive and beauty is vapor. But only the woman who fears YHVH will be praised ! »
Absalom, the son of king David, was described as follows according to 2 Shemuel 14 : 25 : « And there was no handsome man in all Ishrael who was praised as much as Absalom, for from the sole of his foot and to the crown of his head, he did not have a single flaw ». But following the tragedy his sister had suffered, his anger took over and alas he had a tragic end - Surely a well-known story by many.
Psalms 103 : 15 : « The days of the humans are like grass. They flourish like flowers of the field » ... Ieshayah 40 : 7a : « The grass withers, their flowers fade because the Breath of YHVH blows on them »
And like flora and fauna, our days are also limited
Ieshayah 40 : 7b – 8a : « Surely, the people are grass ! The grass withers, their flowers fade »
BUT ...
Ieshayah 40 : 8b : « But the Word of our Elohim will stand for ever ! »
How would we take advantage of our sojourning life here on earth ?
With humility, as dust and like grass, let us pour out our heart before YHVH Elohim our Creator according to these words of Moses His Servant : « Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a wise heart ! » - Psalms 90 : 12
