Put to death, buried, but raised from the dead and will never die again !

Unintentionally but precisely they defined on which Day Yehoshua HaMashiach was put to death, and when He was raised from the dead as well, according to this passage :
Luke 24 : 21b : « And not only this, but today is the third day since these things happened ».

Which things ? Everything surrounding the Death of The Son of YHVH Elohim, The Sent-One, Yehoshua.

Almost two millenia ago
A very particular Event took place in the evening of the Day of Yehoshua's Resurrection. On their way back to their village called Emmaus, located about 12 kilometers from Yerushalem, two Disciples, who had a conversation about these things, suddenly have been interrupted by a stranger who asked them what were they talking about. A very strange question at their hearing indeed due to the fact that who in the City of Yerushalem had not heard these last days about the Jewish leaders' horrific decision to put to death the Prophet mighty in deed called Yehoshua of Nazareth.

But these two sincere men did not recognize Him because, as it is written « their eyes were kept from recognizing Him ».

At this stage, it seemed that Yehoshua had another duty to accomplish : To leave the Mark of His Messiahship among the inhabitants of this village called Emmaus. For sure, when these two Disciples came back they talked openly about this Divine Meeting among them, a people who perhaps should also hear about these Good News for reconciliation !

« And not only this, but today is the third day since these things happened ». The third day from which day ? The beginning of this chapter tells us, Luke 24 : 1 : « But at early dawn on the first day of the week, they went to the tomb, bringing the aromatics they had prepared ». In other words : Today is the third day from the first day of the week.

When was He put to death then ?
Now, if we count back from the first day as stated, it tells us that the day of His Death was on thursday. Not on wednesday, more than expected, and nor on friday, less than expected. When was it then ? On thursday, on a thursday.

And on which time ? He had to die at the same time the Pesach lamb of the first Pesach in Egypt was slaughtered, on 14 aviv.

When did YHVH Elohim raise Him from the dead ? He fulfilled the wave sheaf offering
He had first to ascend to His Father so that He may be accepted by Him before allowing His Disciples to touch Him. He said to Miriam of Magdala, according to Yehochanan 20 : 17 : « Yehoshua says to her : Do not touch Me, for I have not yet ascended to The Father, but go to My brothers and say to them : I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My Elohim and your Elohim ». For the same reason, the Priest, according to Leviticus 23 : 9-11, had first to wave before YHVH Elohim the first sheaf of the firstfruits so that those of the people may be also accepted.

Did they know or did not at all, or did He need to remind them ?

Luke 24 : 44 : « And He said to them : These are My Words, which I spoke to you while I was yet with you, that everything that has been written concerning Me in the Law of Moses and in the Prophets and in the Psalms ought to be fulfilled ». Did they really know that the Torah of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms wrote about Him, everything concerning Him ? His Birth, Death, Burial, Resurrection and even His Return ? Or, did they remember ? But it was surely another opportunity for Him to remind them.

What did they need to learn or what did they need to remember was in fact the following : the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms are three Great Witnesses that testify that He is indeed The Messiah, The One they were waiting for, The Prophet foretold by Moses Who had to speak the Words YHVH Elohim will put in His Mouth.

If themselves had to learn, how much more about us, about everyone who has, due to translation, the blessed opportunity to read and to enjoy their story through the Book called The Bible ?

Is there something else that needs to be said ? Definitely, there is !

Luke 24 : 46-47, when He said ; « And He said to them : It has been written that The Messiah should suffer and rise from the dead on the third day. And that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be preached in all nations in His Name, beginning from Yerushalem », there are definitely things to repent from in view of forgiveness.

To repent from what then ? Mainly from :
The Jews : To repent from having replaced the Torah of YHVH Elohim with their man-made doctrine, and to repent from having not recognized the time of their visitation, and then learn to find their peace through The One they have rejected, from their Messiah Who has already come, from Yehoshua, The Son of YHVH Elohim, The Prophet foretold by Moses, as a matter of fact, their Long-awaited Messiah.

For the Jews : 2 Chronicles 7 : 14 : « If My people who are called by My Name will come to humble themselves, and pray and seek My Face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven and will forgive their sins and heal their land ! ». YHVH Elohim has spoken.

The nations : To repent from having rejected the Torah of The Creator of the universe, The Living Elohim of the Book The Bible, to which they cling so much thinking it will help them to make it through. ... To repent from having decided on their own, from their own authority, that the Torah of The Living Elohim had been nailed to the cross and is no longer required. ... To repent from chosing sunday as the day of rest and begin to honor the 7th day of The Creator of the universe, their Creator. ... To repent from eating unclean and seriously consider The Creator of universe diatery laws according to Leviticus 11 and Deuteronomy 14 : 1-21 as well, and stop blaspheming His Words. Till today pig never does chew, nor shrimp does have fins and scales.

For the nations
: Numbers 15 : 15-16 : « As for the Congregation, there shall be only One Statute and One Practice for you and the strangers who sojourn with you too, it should be a Perpetual Statute throughout your generations. You and the strangers shall be the same before YHVH. One Law and One Practice shall be for you and for the strangers who sojourn with you ».

For all of us, according to Matthew 13 : 9, : « He who has ears, let him hear ! »

Yehoshua HaMashiach died and was raised by YHVH Elohim His Father from the dead. If He did not resurrect, then there is no hope at all for us after death. He was the Firstfruit of the Resurrection !
