A woman's voice ?

Did YHVH Elohim prohibit women to speak ? The following two cases, for instance, tell us that He did not. Let us discover :

Rahab, the 'misfit' woman of Yericho.

A quite familiar story in the Book The Bible. What was special about her ? YHVH Elohim Elohei Ishrael could have chosen a man to proclaim what she proclaimed, but He chose this 'misfit' woman to speak that there is none like Him in heaven and on earth. Let us value what she proclaimed, according to Yehoshua 2 : 11 :

« And when we heard it, our hearts melted in fear and we have all lost our courage because of you, for YHVH your Elohim He is The Elohim in heaven above and on earth below ».

Did her story end after she and the whole of her family have been delivered ? It was surely the very beginning of her/of their conversion to only worship The True Elohim, The Elohim of the Ishraelites, and to proclaim His Power and His Love to His people Ishrael. He surely became their Elohim. What a marvellous change and destiny !

The woman of Sychar in Samaria

The story of this woman, defined as a Samaritan, was also a quite familiar. Samaritan ? Not really, but surely she was an Ishraelite from Yaakov, from Yosef who inherited the land where she lived. But what was also special about her ? Not simply special but phenomenal !

YHVH Elohim Elohei Ishrael could have chosen a man too from this town to meet The Messiah of Ishrael, and to communicate with Him and to speak among his people concerning the meeting with Him, but He chose this 'black sheep' woman to become a witness of Him and of His Sent One among her people in order to proclaim this Momentous Meeting. Once more, let us recall and emphasize the dialogue that took place between this woman and the Yehudi Man :

Yehochanan 4 : 15 - 26 : « The woman said to Him : Adoni, give me this water that I may not thirst nor come here to draw anymore. Yehoshua said to her : Go on then, call your husband and come here. The woman answered and said to Him : I do not have a husband. Yehoshua says to her : You are quite right when you said : I do not have a husband, for you have had five husbands, also the one you are living with is not your husband. What you have said is true. The woman said to Him : Adoni, I see that You are a Prophet. Our ancestors worshiped on this mountain, but you (referring to the Jews) say instead that in Yerushalem is the place where it is required to worship. Yehoshua said to her : Woman, believe Me, the time is coming neither on this mountain nor in Yerushalem will you worship The Father. You worship (referring to the Samaritans) Whom you do not know ; but we (referring to the Jews) worship Whom we know, because Salvation is from the Jews. But the time is coming, and is now here, when the true worshippers shall worship The Father in Spirit and in Truth ; for indeed The Father seeks people who worship Him such as these. Elohim is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in Spirit and in Truth. The woman said to Him : I know that The Messiah is coming, and when He comes He will tell us everything. Yehoshua said to her : I Who speak to you is The One. »

What a very blessed experience with The Anointed One of YHVH Elohim it was ! A woman who had very hard time to find peace in her life over the years, and in one day, a Day of YHVH Elohim, her heavy worries suddenly turned into miraculous peace. What a miraculous change and a beginning as well ! Why me she surely talked to herself in fear and trembling, in tears and joy ? But she surely came to realize that she was chosen to proclaim among her people that The Messiah of Ishrael has come in her town. And victoriously she went and proclaimed the divine Meeting at Yaakov's well.

Neither YHVH Elohim nor Yehoshua HaMashiach did prohibit women to speak, to proclaim that is to prophesy. Let us read :

Acts 2 : 17-18 : « And in the last days says YHVH Elohim i will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh. And your sons and your daughters will prophesy, and your young men will see visions, and your old men will have dreams. And My Servants, men or women, I will pour out My Spirit upon them on those days, and they will prophesy ».

The Ruach HaKodesh of YHVH Elohim He poured upon the heart of Rahab is The Same He poured upon the Samaritan/Ishraelite woman of Sychar to allow them to speak and to proclaim. He poured The Same Spirit upon the heart of Miriam of Magdala as well to go and to proclaim to them that He was Alive ! ... YHVH Elohim did not prohibit women to speak, to proclaim !

The author of this site is a woman who has been encouraged by YHVH Elohim to speak and to proclaim His Word. He said, according to Yirmeyah 23 : 28b : « And the one who has My Word, let him proclaim My Word faithfully ! ».
